Publication Ethics
The Indonesian Journal of Science and Health (IJSAH) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, and authors, are expected to adhere to ethical principles of integrity, transparency, accountability, and confidentiality.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, unbiased, and timely evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit, originality, relevance, and clarity of the manuscript, without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, institutional affiliation, or political views. Editors must maintain confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts. They must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscripts under review, disclose any conflicts of interest, and refrain from using unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.
Duties of Authors
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original works and have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Authors must accurately present research data, properly cite all sources, acknowledge contributions appropriately, and disclose any conflicts of interest or funding sources related to the research.
Ethical Misconduct
Any form of unethical behavior, including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or inappropriate authorship practices, is considered unacceptable. Allegations of ethical misconduct will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Handling of Ethical Issues
When ethical issues are identified at any stage of the publication process, IJSAH will take appropriate actions, which may include manuscript rejection, request for clarification or correction, article retraction, or notification to relevant institutions, depending on the severity of the case.
