Author Guidelines
The Indonesian Journal of Science and Health (IJSAH) provides comprehensive guidelines to ensure that all submitted manuscripts meet high standards of scientific quality, ethical integrity, and technical consistency. Authors are strongly encouraged to review these guidelines carefully prior to submission.
Focus and Scope
IJSAH publishes scholarly articles in the field of health and healthcare. The journal welcomes contributions from, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Public Health and Population Health
- Nursing and Clinical Practice
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
- Environmental Health
- Nutrition and Health
- Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care
- Health Policy and Health Systems
- Health Technology and Digital Health
Submissions must demonstrate clear relevance to health issues, healthcare practice, or health system development, and should contribute to improving health outcomes at individual, community, or population levels.
Types of Manuscripts
IJSAH accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles (Narrative Reviews, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses)
- Conceptual or Theoretical Articles
- Short Communications
- Letters to the Editor
Language
Manuscripts must be written in Bahasa Indonesia using clear, precise, and academically appropriate language. Foreign terms should be italicized where necessary.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be prepared using the official IJSAH template and submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Recommended length: 6–15 pages, including tables and figures
- Formatting must follow the journal template strictly
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
- Title
- Author Names and Affiliations
- Abstract and Keywords
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Title and Author Information
- The title must be concise, specific, and informative
- Author names should be written without academic titles
- Include full institutional affiliations
- Provide a valid email address for the corresponding author
Abstract and Keywords
- The abstract must be written in Bahasa Indonesia
- Maximum length: 150 words
- Written in a single paragraph
- Keywords: 3–5 terms, separated by semicolons
Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures must be clear, accurate, and relevant
- Table titles should appear above the table
- Figure captions should appear below the figure
- All tables and figures must be referenced in the text
Citation and References
IJSAH uses the Vancouver citation style:
- In-text citations are indicated using superscript numbers
- References are listed in the order of citation
- Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote)
Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure that:
- The manuscript is original and has not been published previously
- The manuscript is not under consideration in another journal
- All research involving human or animal subjects complies with ethical standards
- Ethical clearance or approval is provided when required
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and quality.
- Reviewers assess originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and relevance
- The editorial board makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations
Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through the IJSAH Online Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to follow all submission steps and upload complete documents.
