Peer Review Process

The Indonesian Journal of Science and Health (IJSAH) implements a rigorous and objective peer review process to ensure the scientific quality, validity, and relevance of all manuscripts submitted for publication. The peer review process is conducted in a transparent and ethical manner in accordance with international publishing standards.

Type of Peer Review

IJSAH applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed. This approach aims to ensure impartiality, objectivity, and fairness in the evaluation of manuscripts.

Reviewer Selection

Manuscripts that pass the editorial screening stage are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who have expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, publication record, and experience in the relevant field.

Review Process

Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, methodological soundness, scientific contribution, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the scope of IJSAH. Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations to assist authors in improving the quality of their manuscripts.

Review Timeframe

The peer review process generally takes approximately 1–4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript. IJSAH strives to maintain an efficient review process without compromising review quality.

Reviewer Recommendations

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, recommendations may include acceptance, acceptance with minor revisions, major revisions required, or rejection. Reviewers’ comments are communicated to authors through the editorial system for revision and response.

Revision and Re-Review

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest

All reviewers are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscripts they review and must not use unpublished materials for personal or professional advantage. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline review assignments when such conflicts exist.
