Plagiarism Policy

The Indonesian Journal of Science and Health (IJSAH) is committed to ensuring academic integrity and strictly prohibits plagiarism in all its forms. All manuscripts submitted to IJSAH must be original works and properly cite all sources used in the preparation of the manuscript.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, inappropriate paraphrasing, and the use of ideas, data, or text without proper acknowledgment. Any form of plagiarism is considered unethical and unacceptable.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened for similarity using plagiarism detection software (Turnitin) prior to the peer review process. Additional plagiarism checks may be conducted after peer review and before publication to ensure continued compliance with ethical standards.

Similarity Threshold

Manuscripts with unacceptable levels of similarity, improper citation, or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected without further consideration. Authors may be requested to revise manuscripts with minor similarity issues to ensure proper citation and originality.

Actions in Cases of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is identified at any stage of the editorial process, appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These actions may include manuscript rejection, request for revision, article retraction, publication of corrections, or notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism and that all sources are properly cited. By submitting a manuscript to IJSAH, authors confirm that their work is original and complies with the journal’s ethical and plagiarism policies.
